  • Look for the cylinder. Sometimes it might be placed behind the grill or on the side of the grill.
  • Must take the two parts of the grill under consideration before removing the propane tank. Those are the propane cylinder and the BBQ pressure regulator.
  • Disconnect the pressure regulator after closing the valve of the propane cylinder. Observe the arrows on the valve. And move the valve in a clockwise direction.
  • Now place the wrench with the open jaws on the nut of the tank regulator. This nut will be located at the joining point of the propane tank and the gas regulator. Use the wrench opening for the large nut.
  • Move the wrench in the clockwise direction to loosen the nut. Most of the gas cylinders use left-handed threads for flammable gases.
  • When you pull the regulator’s neck you may get a whiff of gas because there is always a small amount of gas accumulated at the connection point.
  • Now the tank is disconnected from the grill. Pull the tank from the grill cart and move it towards its refilling destination.
